Senior Underwriter / Account Executive Officer Business Center Excess Casualty

Location: Centennial, Colorado, United States

Annual base salary: $104,000–$171,700, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

• Manage the profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned Middle Market Business Insurance book.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex new and renewal customer accounts.
• Assess risks and develop coverage solutions aligned with customer needs and risk appetite.
• Build relationships with internal business partners, agents, and brokers to support market penetration and cross-selling.
• Identify new business opportunities through consultative marketing and sales.
• Support agency, regional, and group sales plans; assist with training and mentoring less experienced Account Executives when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Six to eight years of relevant underwriting experience; at least four years of experience in underwriting, claims, operations, risk assessment, actuarial, sales, product, or finance.
• Deep knowledge of Business Insurance products, the regulatory environment, and the local insurance market.
• Strong critical-thinking skills and the ability to identify underwriting, marketing, and financial challenges and make timely decisions.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for working with agents and brokers.
• CPCU designation.
