TL;DR
Compliance DS Director (MedTech): Leading the DePuy Synthes global services compliance organization and developing SOX 404 testing, governance, and remediation frameworks with an accent on organizational transformation, financial controls, and audit readiness. Focus on designing the future-state compliance model, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders and external advisors, and managing risk remediation across Manila and Bogotá hubs.
Location: Taguig, National Capital Region (Manila), Philippines; role supports GS hub footprints in Manila and Bogotá. Hybrid work arrangement with travel of up to approximately 10% and work across global time zones.

What you will do
- Oversee the DePuy Synthes GS Compliance team and governance of the outsourced SOX testing provider.
- Coordinate cross-functional workstreams and support the design, staffing, and transition of the Level 2 compliance organization.
- Define the SOX 404 testing framework, including scope, materiality, testing approach, and interaction models.
- Lead compliance readiness, testing, remediation, statutory and regulatory control requirements, and audit-ready documentation.
- Partner with EY, GAA, Controllership, GPO Compliance, DPS Operations, and service providers on separation and compliance readiness.
- Provide governance updates, escalations, meeting minutes, and regular reporting to stakeholders and senior leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance or Accounting; an MBA, MS, CPA, or CMA is strongly preferred.
- Approximately 10 or more years of relevant finance, auditing, or accounting experience.
- Experience leading SOX 404 controls and testing, financial risk assessment, remediation, or mitigation.
- Experience with shared services, shared service centers, or BPO partners, plus significant transformation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of accounting standards, SOX and compliance implications, and financial controls.
- Strong stakeholder management, senior leadership communication, project/program management, and cross-functional leadership skills.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Advanced finance or accounting credentials such as an MBA, MS, CPA, or CMA.
