Staff Security Architect (Cybersecurity)

Location: Scottsdale, Arizona, United States; four days onsite in a hybrid schedule at the North Scottsdale office.

What you will do

• Lead security architecture for an assigned domain, platform, or product portfolio using enterprise standards, patterns, and guardrails.
• Perform architecture reviews and threat modeling, translating risks into actionable design requirements and control recommendations.
• Partner with engineering, product, and operations teams to embed secure-by-design and defense-in-depth practices throughout delivery.
• Develop reference architectures, design patterns, implementation guidance, and architecture decision records.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives across cloud, IAM, application security, DevSecOps, and data protection.
• Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and platform services; mentor engineers and communicate tradeoffs to senior leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10–14 years of experience in security architecture, including cross-functional leadership and domain standards development.
• Experience delivering scalable security solutions, measurable risk reduction, threat models, reference designs, and architecture decision records.
• Cloud and identity expertise with technologies such as AWS, Okta, CyberArk, CrowdStrike, Tenable, and Snyk.
• Strong understanding of secure design and software development lifecycle integration, plus PCI DSS, SOX, GDPR, OWASP, OAuth, and SAML.
• The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship and requires four days onsite in the North Scottsdale office.

Nice to have

• Advanced certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CRISC, SABSA, Security+, or a relevant GIAC certification.
