Engineer - Heavy Civil Construction

Location: Charlotte, NC, United States; onsite work involving construction job sites.

What you will do

• Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with daily project operations.
• Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Track project progress, prepare reports, and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to support timely delivery of materials and services.
• Support quality control and safety compliance on construction sites.
• Assist with cost tracking, budgeting, schedule updates, and technical problem-solving.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of construction principles and project management fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Nice to have

• Construction internship or co-op experience.
• Familiarity with scheduling software such as Primavera P6.
