Controls Engineer (Automotive Manufacturing)

Location: North Vernon, Indiana, United States; onsite role

What you will do

• Evaluate control systems, components, applications, and emerging manufacturing technologies.
• Design and execute tests to verify control-system functionality and safety compliance.
• Prepare and review electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic control drawings.
• Maintain equipment performance through audits, breakdown troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance, and process improvements.
• Maintain project documentation and ensure process and build data integrity.
• Coordinate supplier development and delivery while supporting manufacturing and engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with electrical drawings, ladder logic, HMI programs, and safety PLC control systems for machinery and automation.
• Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs, servo controllers, HMI products, and related software.
