Operations Specialist (Gas Pipelines)

Location: Onsite in Beaumont, Texas, United States; travel, overtime, callouts, and emergency response may be required.

What you will do

• Operate and maintain pipelines, compressor stations, engines, turbines, pumps, valves, instruments, and auxiliary equipment.
• Install, repair, service, and maintain pipeline appurtenances, corrosion-control systems, measurement equipment, and storage well equipment.
• Maintain pipeline rights-of-way, gathering and storage facilities, equipment, buildings, and related site infrastructure.
• Oversee third-party construction and maintenance activities and train company and contractor personnel.
• Perform DOT, state agency, EPA, USFS, safety, environmental, documentation, and record-keeping activities.
• Start, stop, and operate engines and pumps within defined parameters; diagnose and repair associated mechanical systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer and math skills, including familiarity with MS Office and company software.
• Valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.
• Ability to respond to after-hours callouts and emergencies, work overtime, and travel as required.
• Ability to work in extreme weather, confined spaces, elevated or excavated areas, low-lit locations, and physically demanding environments.
• Successful completion of a drug screen and background check before employment.

Nice to have

• Experience reading blueprints, P&IDs, and other technical diagrams.
• Knowledge of flammable gas and liquid handling and high- and low-pressure systems.
• Pipeline, compression, compressor engine, pump, or related equipment experience.
