TL;DR
ArcSight Security Engineer (ArcSight SIEM): Designing, installing, configuring, and optimizing enterprise ArcSight SIEM deployments with an accent on ESM architecture, advanced security content, and network defense integration. Focus on developing FlexConnectors, dashboards, correlation use cases, and troubleshooting complex security systems in a DoD environment.
Location: Fort Knox, Kentucky, United States; onsite
Duration: 6 months, with a possibility of hire.

What you will do
- Provide technical leadership for major ArcSight security engineering tasks and technology assignments.
- Install, configure, customize, troubleshoot, and optimize the ArcSight product suite, appliances, and dependencies.
- Design and implement enterprise SIEM architectures using ArcSight ESM and Logger.
- Develop advanced ArcSight content, including reports, filters, trends, dashboards, correlation rules, notifications, and security use cases.
- Develop FlexConnectors, optimize SmartConnector configurations, and administer ArcSight components.
- Translate customer requirements into implemented use cases and create training programs for systems, network, and security administrators.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of hands-on technical experience, including a minimum of 5 years with ArcSight ESM.
- Expert knowledge of ArcSight ESM Network Model and extensive enterprise implementation experience.
- Experience with ArcSight FlexConnectors, Unix scripting, network security operations, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- ArcSight Certified Analyst (ACSA) and/or ArcSight Certified Integrator Administrator (ACIA) certification.
- Active Department of Defense security clearance required, with interim Secret as the minimum day-one requirement. CompTIA Security+ and DoD 8570 IAM II / IAT Level II certification are required; the latter may be obtained within six months of hire.
Nice to have
- DoD 8570 CNDSP Infrastructure certification.
- Knowledge of DoD directives 8500.2, 8530.2, CJCSI 6510, and DISA STIGs.
