Founding Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based in Madison, Wisconsin; three days per week onsite

What you will do

• Partner with customers to understand business processes, identify operational challenges, and uncover opportunities for measurable value.
• Design, configure, build, deploy, and support AI-powered platforms, workflows, automations, and agent skills.
• Develop workflows, agent capabilities, document schemas, integrations, prototypes, automations, and lightweight applications.
• Define success metrics, measure post-deployment outcomes, and improve solution reliability and performance.
• Translate recurring customer needs into scalable solutions, best practices, playbooks, and operating standards.
• Provide customer-informed feedback to product and engineering teams and develop internal efficiency tools.

Requirements

• Experience leveraging AI agents and agentic development tools in day-to-day work.
• Experience building automations, integrations, internal tools, or customer-facing solutions.
• Ability to translate ambiguous business challenges into practical technical solutions and communicate business value.
• Strong problem-solving, ownership, self-direction, relationship-building, and customer communication skills.
• Experience in solutions engineering, implementation, technical consulting, product, operations, accounting technology, customer success, or a related field.
• Ability to work onsite in Madison, Wisconsin three days per week.

Nice to have

• Engineering, implementation, or deployment experience with Epic Agent Factory solutions.
• Formal software engineering experience is helpful but not required.
