Scientist 3 (Analytical Chemistry)

Location: Mt Juliet, Tennessee, United States; Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Relocation assistance may be provided.

What you will do

• Perform complex and specialized analytical testing using laboratory instrumentation and established SOPs.
• Prepare samples, set up and optimize methods, calibrate instruments, interpret data, and document defensible results.
• Maintain and troubleshoot ICP-MS, LC-MS/MS, and/or GC-MS/MS platforms.
• Review chemistry documentation, databases, reports, audits, and investigations to ensure completeness, compliance, and data integrity.
• Provide technical training, mentorship, consultation, and subject-matter expertise to staff and leaders.
• Support chemistry and cross-functional projects, process improvements, operational changes, and recommendations to management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely related field, plus at least five years of relevant professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Advanced knowledge of chemistry or biochemistry, laboratory operations, quality systems, regulatory requirements, analytical instrumentation, calibration, and data review.
• Experience performing advanced analytical and technical work independently.
• Ability to provide technical oversight and training, manage projects, interpret regulatory and quality requirements, and prepare accurate technical documentation.
• Effective communication and collaboration with technical teams, leadership, customers, and colleagues.
