PRN Medical Assistant - Waukesha, WI

Location: Waukesha, Wisconsin, United States; onsite

Pay range: $21.00–$26.00 per hour

What you will do

• Escort patients, prepare exam rooms, and maintain clinical supplies and equipment.
• Review and update patient health information and record accurate data in medical records.
• Take vital signs, perform blood draws, administer medications and immunizations, dress wounds, and assist with procedures.
• Coordinate scheduling, check-in and check-out, medical record requests, referrals, specialist visits, and external care.
• Process test results and communicate them to patients by e-message, mail, or phone as directed.
• Support patient outreach and collaborate with the care team to identify and address gaps in care.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in primary care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant or related program.
• National or state-specific Medical Assistant certification or registration is strongly preferred and required where mandated by state law.
• CPR/BLS certification is required by the start date.

Nice to have

• Phlebotomy experience.
