Systems Engineer - Fleet Support Technician - Electronic Warfare Systems (Submarine) (Electronic Warfare)

Location: Middletown, Rhode Island; must be local to the work location. Flexible for occasional telework.

Salary: $70,090.43–$121,873.66 annually.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot and investigate BLQ-10 and other electronic warfare systems onboard submarines.
• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, installations, upgrades, and technology insertions across TI14–TI20 baselines.
• Design, integrate, and manage complex systems through all lifecycle phases, including TEMPALTs and SOVTs.
• Develop testing, troubleshooting, maintenance procedures, and system reports using technical documentation and fleet experience.
• Mentor team members during troubleshooting and repair operations and coordinate with engineering, integration, and logistics teams.
• Provide CONUS and OCONUS fleet support, including on-site and remote troubleshooting, urgent repairs, and system upgrades; travel is approximately 35%.

Requirements

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in electronics, computer science, or a related technical field, or equivalent military or industry experience.
• Hands-on experience supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting submarine electronic warfare systems, preferably BLQ-10 and later baselines.
• Advanced knowledge of TI14–TI20 installation, upgrade, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Strong proficiency in Linux system administration, automation, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of US Navy installation procedures, TEMPALTs, and SOVT processes, with the ability to design and integrate complex system architectures.
• Must possess and maintain a Secret Clearance and be willing to travel for CONUS and OCONUS assignments, sometimes on short notice.

• Experience with cross-platform systems and electronic warfare subsystem integration.
• Participation in electronic warfare system upgrades, installations, and overhaul events.
• Navy background or equivalent defense contractor experience.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
