Associate, CQRM (Legal Risk Management)

Location: San Salvador, El Salvador. Chicago, Illinois is listed as a preferred location in the role description. Limited travel is required.

What you will do

• Review professional services, subcontractor, confidentiality, data privacy, information security, reseller, referral, and other related agreements.
• Review commercial and public-sector requests for proposals and prepare exceptions documents.
• Prepare risk management plans and issue memoranda to identify and mitigate enhanced engagement risks.
• Consult with client service personnel on risk matters affecting engagements and client services.
• Develop and update contract templates, contracting playbooks, policies, manuals, knowledge articles, and training materials.
• Train less-experienced CQRM team members and support onboarding.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and a JD or Master of Legal Studies.
• Strong research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret and apply legal standards, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to identify gaps in operational policies and practices and maintain objectivity when addressing significant risk events.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities based on urgency, risk, and matter significance.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding internal information.

Nice to have

• CPA, MBA, LLM, or another relevant consulting, accounting, tax, or legal certification.
• Experience in an accounting or consulting firm, business risk management or advisory role, or government or commercial legal or procurement department.
