Senior/Staff SW Development Engineer (C/C++)

Location: Penang, Malaysia. Successful background and reference checks and proof of the right to work in Malaysia are required.

What you will do

• Build and modernize software for FPGA flows and hardware-software co-design tools.
• Navigate, debug, and refactor large legacy C/C++ codebases into Modern C++ systems.
• Improve system performance, modularity, memory footprint, maintainability, and robustness.
• Drive automated testing, CI/CD, static analysis, and software quality practices.
• Mentor engineers, guide design decisions, and resolve complex debugging and performance bottlenecks.
• Integrate GenAI-augmented workflows for legacy code analysis, refactoring, debugging, and test automation.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in C and C++.
• Experience working with complex codebases and system-level software challenges.
• Experience with systems architecture, legacy-system refactoring, and code quality improvement.
• A track record of robust automated testing, CI/CD, static analysis, and engineering best practices.
• Ability to provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and guide design decisions.
• Right to work in Malaysia is required.

Nice to have

• Experience developing FPGA tools or EDA software.
• Experience with embedded systems, device programming, or hardware-software modeling.
