Pharmacy Assistant (Part Time)

Location: Onsite at 50 Quarry Edge Dr, Brampton, Ontario, Canada

Salary: CAD 17.60–23.10 per hour, based on relevant experience.

Walmart operates a retail pharmacy and provides pharmacy, OTC, and customer service operations.

What you will do

• Receive prescriptions and assess them for completeness while following provincial legal and regulatory requirements.
• Perform pharmacy computer functions, including prescription data entry, patient information updates, refills, price checks, report generation, and profile checks.
• Fill and prepare prescriptions under pharmacist supervision, including product selection, counting or measuring, labeling, and accuracy checks.
• Maintain drug and supply inventory, process pharmacy orders and returns, remove expired medications, and organize pharmacy shelves.
• Keep the dispensary, equipment, supplies, and work areas clean, safe, and organized.
• Support clerical administration, OTC operations, stocking, ordering, and cashier duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Age 16 or older.
• Ability to interpret and process written prescriptions, recognize drug names, perform dosage calculations, and understand Latin abbreviations.
• Ability to work under pharmacist supervision and follow prescription accuracy and provincial regulatory procedures.
• Ability to perform administrative, inventory, stocking, and customer service duties.
