Claims Specialist Property E&C (Hybrid)

Location: Hybrid in Frankfurt, Hamburg, or Munich, Germany

Base salary: €70,000–€116,000 gross annual salary for a full-time role, plus performance-based variable compensation.

What you will do

• Manage a portfolio of standard claims within defined technical authority, from first advice through settlement.
• Review coverage, investigate facts, evaluate losses, and contribute to appropriate claim-resolution strategies.
• Coordinate external experts and vendors while helping monitor claims budgets.
• Support recovery claims and identify potential dubious or fraudulent cases.
• Prepare accurate reports and share claims insights with internal stakeholders and colleagues.
• Alert team leaders to potential loss developments in line with company procedures.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in claims or the insurance industry, preferably involving Property, Engineering, or Construction claims.
• Experience working with external experts and vendors.
• Basic understanding of policy coverage, investigation processes, claim evaluation, and insurance fundamentals.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet-based research.
• Fluency in both German and English is required.
• Collaborative, detail-oriented, organized, adaptable, and motivated to develop technical expertise.

Nice to have

• Experience with international programme business.
• Knowledge of additional European languages.
• Familiarity with construction and engineering concepts.
• Experience handling standard claims independently.
• Insurance-related coursework, initial certifications, or interest in specializing in Property, Engineering, or Construction claims.
