Underwriter Assistant (Renewable Energy)

Location: Hamburg, Germany; hybrid. Current residency in Germany and the necessary work and residency permits are required before applying.

hirify.global is a managing general underwriter providing insurance solutions across Renewable Energy, Financial Lines, Property & Construction, Cyber, Casualty, and other specialty insurance areas.

What you will do

• Support underwriters in risk analysis and sales processes through documentation, data collection, and operational coordination.
• Handle bookings, premium tracking, contract management, database maintenance, and data input.
• Manage communication and follow-up with clients, brokers, carriers, and internal teams.
• Prepare and format reports, proposals, and other underwriting documents.
• Own selected processes and client accounts, and organize related files and databases.
• Schedule meetings and events, coordinate logistics, and attend underwriting courses and internal meetings.

Requirements

• Degree in business administration, insurance, or finance.
• At least 2 years of experience in insurance or business administration.
• Familiarity with Microsoft tools, especially Excel, and willingness to use internal systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while communicating professionally with multiple stakeholders.
• Fluency in spoken and written English and German is essential.

Nice to have

• Experience in technical insurance lines or property insurance.
• Knowledge of additional languages.
