Software Engineer Intern (Ads)

Location: San Jose, United States; fully in-person, up to 5 days per week

Salary: $45 per hour

What you will do

• Build and operate big data computing frameworks and storage systems for large-scale platform services.
• Design and optimize high-concurrency distributed systems for stability during peak global traffic.
• Improve system efficiency and scalability across the global Ads ecosystem.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on large-scale engineering initiatives.
• Integrate emerging technologies and new ideas into the core platform.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Availability for a 12-week Summer 2027 internship.
• Programming experience in one or more of C, C++, Java, or Golang.
• Effective communication skills, ownership, drive, teamwork, and responsibility.

Nice to have

• Currently pursuing a master's degree in a related technical discipline.
• Experience with AI coding.
• Strong learning ability and clear communication.
