What you will do
- Own the technical solution and end-to-end delivery of Financial Reporting & Analytics applications, including IFRS reporting solutions.
- Plan delivery and manage the product backlog with Business Product Owners, aligning business priorities with technical readiness.
- Translate business needs into implementable technical solutions, user stories, technical specifications, and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering Leads, developers, Technical Business Analysts, and Finance stakeholders to deliver technical components.
- Manage upstream and downstream system dependencies and ensure compliance with architecture, SDLC, QA, and data governance standards.
- Ensure operational readiness through incident and change management, security, access management, monitoring, and stability controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar Financial Reporting & Analytics role, ideally involving IFRS or accounting.
- Experience delivering large-scale data pipelines and working with modern data platforms such as Databricks and Palantir Foundry.
- Background in Finance or FP&A and the reinsurance industry, with expertise in data quality, reliability, governance, lineage, and data management frameworks.
- Experience with Python, PySpark, SQL, or TypeScript to support collaboration with engineering teams.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, analytical, problem-solving, Agile, and backlog management skills.
