Analytical Chemist- Small Molecule (Pharmaceutical Development)

Location: Norristown, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite in a laboratory and office setting, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Salary: $75,000–$85,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop, validate, transfer, and perform routine and non-routine analytical methods for small-molecule pharmaceutical products.
• Operate analytical instruments including HPLC, GC, and dissolution equipment.
• Design robust analytical methods supporting early-stage clinical trials and formulation development.
• Interpret analytical data, identify trends, draw conclusions, and present recommendations to management and clients.
• Review and complete analytical documentation, databases, testing results, and related records.
• Provide work direction, training, and technical guidance to staff and clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a closely related field.
• Three to five years of experience, including early-phase small-molecule pharmaceutical product development or related technical operations.
• Knowledge of analytical chemistry, formulation development, laboratory programs, instrumentation, equipment, and calibration.
• Knowledge of GMP, FDA, and ICH requirements for analytical testing of small-molecule pharmaceuticals.
• Experience with chromatography data systems, LIMS, technical reporting, presentations, and project teamwork.
• Ability to work onsite in a laboratory and office environment and handle exposure to chemicals, fumes, gases, and noxious odors.

• Master’s or PhD degree in chemistry or a closely related field.
