Sr. SAP ABAP Developer (SD/VMS/Warranty)

Location: Atlanta, Georgia, United States

Salary: $89,900–$112,400 for Georgia-based applicants, with potential annual performance bonus and equity awards.

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and production support of custom SAP solutions for SD, Vehicle Management System, and Warranty Processing.
• Translate vehicle lifecycle, dealer, and warranty requirements into technical specifications with business and functional stakeholders.
• Establish ABAP development frameworks, design patterns, accelerators, procedures, and clean-core practices using RAP, CDS views, SAP BTP, and related technologies.
• Design architecture and integration process flows, break work into deliverables, and coordinate technical execution across geographically distributed teams.
• Build scalable OData, REST, IDoc, BAPI, and SOAP interfaces connecting SAP with dealer management systems, customer portals, and other external platforms.
• Use AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development, refactoring, unit testing, code reviews, and intelligent SAP workflow enhancements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience with deep expertise in SAP SD, Vehicle Management System, and Warranty Processing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Expertise in OO ABAP, RAP, CDS views, BAdIs, user exits, IDocs, BAPIs, OData, workflows, Adobe Forms, and SmartForms.
• Experience with SAP Fiori, AIF, SAP BTP, clean-core principles, technical architecture, and complex system integrations.
• Practical experience with AI-assisted coding tools, prompt engineering, or integrating AI capabilities into SAP workflows.
• Automotive or manufacturing SAP experience is required. Experience leading distributed teams and establishing development best practices is also required.
