SAP Cloud Application Developer (SAP BTP)

Location: 100% remote within the United States. Issaquah, Washington is listed in the posting. New H-1B visa petitions cannot be sponsored.

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 annually.

What you will do

• Design and develop side-by-side extensions and standalone applications on SAP BTP using CAP with Node.js and/or Java.
• Build responsive SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, and Fiori elements applications and develop OData v2/v4 integrations with SAP backends and third-party APIs.
• Implement authentication and authorization with XSUAA, SAP IAS, and SAP IPS.
• Deploy and operate applications on Cloud Foundry and Kyma, including scaling, monitoring, observability, and event-driven extensions with SAP Event Mesh.
• Develop BTP-based AI and machine-learning use cases and configure CI/CD pipelines using SAP tooling or GitHub Actions.
• Support clean-core architecture, multi-tenant SaaS design, hypercare, incident response, performance tuning, and comprehensive technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least five years of SAP development experience with significant hands-on SAP BTP work.
• Strong CAP experience with Node.js and/or Java, plus hands-on SAP Fiori/SAPUI5 development.
• Experience designing and consuming OData v2/v4 services and working with Cloud Foundry and/or Kyma runtimes.
• Working knowledge of XSUAA, SAP IAS, SAP IPS, BTP services, and CI/CD patterns.
• Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA extension patterns, clean-core principles, communication, documentation, and collaboration.

Nice to have

• SAP-certified BTP developer credentials.
• Experience with SAP Build, Workflow, Business Rules, Document Management Service, or SAP Integration Suite/CPI.
• Exposure to SAP AI Core, hyperscaler AI services, and multi-tenant SaaS applications on BTP.
