Senior Robotics V&V Engineer (Medical Devices)

Location: Raynham, Massachusetts, or Boston, Massachusetts, United States. Hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office and up to 5 days depending on project demand. Up to 30% domestic and international travel may be required.

Salary: $92,000–$148,350 per year.

What you will do

• Develop and execute system-level verification and validation strategies, master test plans, regression plans, and formal test protocols for complex medical devices.
• Ensure traceability from user needs and system requirements through verification, validation, risk controls, and product releases.
• Design, validate, and implement repeatable and reproducible manual and automated test methods.
• Prepare V&V reports, review subsystem verification deliverables, and support regulatory submissions, audits, design transfer, and product launches.
• Maintain robotics test laboratory facilities and ensure equipment calibration, servicing, safety, and compliance.
• Investigate test failures, deviations, and non-conformances; lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions while supporting project planning and risk resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in biomedical, systems, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of verification and validation engineering experience in the medical device industry.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and product development lifecycles, including V-model, waterfall, and Agile.
• Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS, Jama, or Polarion.
• Familiarity with test automation tools and scripting languages such as Python, LabVIEW, or MATLAB.
• Proficient in sample size calculation, statistical data analysis, technical writing, and cross-functional communication.

Nice to have

• Experience with Class II or Class III medical devices.
• Knowledge of embedded systems, firmware or software testing, or electromechanical systems.
• CQE, CQA, or Six Sigma certification.
