Supervisor, Manufacturing (Back-End Swing Shift) (Biotech)

Location: Frederick, Maryland, United States; onsite, back-end swing shift Wednesday–Saturday, 3:00 PM–1:30 AM

Salary: $107,185–$138,710 per year, plus potential discretionary bonus, stock-based long-term incentives, paid time off, and benefits.

What you will do

• Supervise on-the-floor commercial cell therapy manufacturing operations in a cGMP environment.
• Build, train, coach, manage performance, and recognize manufacturing staff, including conducting annual reviews.
• Execute production and resource schedules, protocol-driven activities, and process steps in line with SOPs and governing documents.
• Review manufacturing documentation and support procedural changes within controlled documentation.
• Investigate operational problems, identify root causes, propose improvements, and implement corrective actions through change control.
• Coordinate information across shifts and represent manufacturing in cross-functional meetings and project teams.

Requirements

• MA/MS with 3+ years, BA/BS with 5+ years, associate degree with 7+ years, or high school diploma with 9+ years of cGMP manufacturing, manufacturing leadership, or operations experience.
• 5+ years of experience supervising staff is preferred.
• Experience in biotech or pharmaceutical manufacturing, knowledge of CFRs and cGMPs, and understanding of manufacturing processes, systems, and equipment.
• Knowledge of electronic batch records, ERP, and quality systems.
• Availability for evening to late-night hours, partial weekend shifts, and on-call rotation is required.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, adaptability, self-motivation, and ownership.

Nice to have

• 9+ years of experience in biotech or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Proven ability to build and lead teams and train entry-level personnel.
• Experience troubleshooting manufacturing systems and equipment and providing solutions to senior leadership.
