Database Engineer 3 (Oracle/Linux)

Salary: $64.13–$116.32 per hour before benefits.

What you will do

• Support database design, development, implementation, information storage and retrieval, data flow, and analysis.
• Develop and maintain relational and object-oriented databases, parser software, loading software, queries, scripts, and macros.
• Create database structures and schemas that align with overall system architecture.
• Analyze and optimize data volumes, user capacity, distribution, response times, retention rules, security, and domain controls.
• Develop and direct database requirements from project inception through system acceptance testing and initial operational capability.
• Build complex systems using queries, tables, Open Database Connectivity, and cloud-based database storage and retrieval.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and an appropriate security clearance are required; TS/SCI with an agency-appropriate polygraph is specified.
• Ten years of database engineering experience on programs or contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, or five additional years of database engineering experience in lieu of the degree.
• Information Assurance experience meeting DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II requirements.
• Extensive experience installing and patching Oracle Database, Oracle Enterprise Manager, and Oracle Data Guard.
• Experience with Linux operating systems, Linux commands, and Bash scripting.

• MongoDB experience.
