Contracts Manager II (Aerospace): Overseeing and negotiating complex U.S. Government contracts across the full contracting lifecycle with an accent on compliance, contract law, and risk governance. Location: Lone Tree, Colorado, United States; office-based

Estimated starting salary: $143,487.14–$197,294.82 per year, plus performance-based annual incentive pay.

What you will do

  • Oversee the administration and negotiation of complex contracts throughout the RFP, negotiation, execution, modification, renewal, termination, and closeout stages.
  • Review contract estimates and documents for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with negotiated agreements.
  • Monitor contract performance and compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
  • Advise management and program teams on contractual rights, obligations, risks, and required actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional organizations and customers to execute contractual commitments on schedule.
  • Conduct audits and compliance reviews and provide supporting documentation.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and U.S. citizenship are required.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5–10+ years of related contracts experience or equivalent experience in Department of Defense contracting.
  • Experience with U.S. Government contract types, including FFP, FPIF, CPAF, CPFF, and T&M.
  • Strong understanding of contract law, the Federal Acquisition Regulation, and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement.
  • Ability to recognize transaction risks, provide governance, and present effectively to senior management.

Nice to have

  • Aerospace and defense industry experience.
  • NCMA contract management certification or DAWIA certification.
  • Government contracting experience and knowledge of ITAR and export licensing requirements.
  • Experience with RFP shaping, proposal development, bid strategy, customer relationships, and U.S. Government intellectual property terms and licenses.
