TL;DR
Senior Contracts Administrator (Aerospace & Defense): Administering complex defense contracts and supporting proposals, negotiations, modifications, and close-out across FFP, T&M, cost-type, IDIQ, and OTA agreements with an accent on FAR/DFARS compliance, risk management, and contract performance. Focus on negotiating terms with prime contractors, preparing cost and pricing materials, resolving compliance challenges, and maintaining accurate contract records.

Location: Remote within the United States; Arlington, VA. Availability during core business hours for the applicable contract location time zone is expected.

What you will do

  • Administer complex FFP, T&M, cost-type, IDIQ, OTA, prime, and subcontract agreements through close-out.
  • Partner with program leaders and business unit stakeholders to define contract needs and achieve financial, contractual, and performance objectives.
  • Negotiate favorable terms, assumptions, clarifications, and performance conditions while reducing contractual risk.
  • Support proposals by reviewing solicitations, preparing cover letters, contract and cost/pricing volumes, and evaluating terms and conditions.
  • Process awards and modifications, maintain contract records, and track contract values, ceilings, deliverables, and processing timelines.
  • Research compliance issues, interpret regulations, prepare negotiation strategies, and resolve contract administration challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, contract administration, or a related field, plus 8 or more years of defense contracting experience.
  • Demonstrated full life-cycle contract administration experience covering both prime contractor subcontracts and DoD-issued prime contracts.
  • US citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance may be required.
  • Knowledge of FAR and DFARS regulations, contract management practices, and defense contracting compliance.
  • Experience preparing cost proposals, cost narratives, compliance matrices, and proposals involving certified cost or pricing data and government audits.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with strong communication, problem-solving, prioritization, and negotiation skills.

  • Experience in the aerospace and defense industry.
  • Knowledge of intellectual property, data rights, and related federal regulations.
  • Professional certification in contract management.
  • Deltek Costpoint Contract Management Module and Microsoft SharePoint experience.
  • Experience using technology and data analysis to streamline contract administration and support business decisions.
