System Engineer 5

Location: Linthicum Heights, Maryland, United States; on-site. United States citizenship and a position-appropriate security clearance are required.

Salary: $50.96–$39.68 per hour.

What you will do

• Apply systems engineering principles across concept, development, production, utilization, support, and retirement phases.
• Work with government stakeholders on systems engineering considerations, technical issues, and conflicts.
• Support requirements definition and analysis, architectural design, implementation, integration, verification, validation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
• Manage or contribute to planning, risk, configuration, information, measurement, quality, acquisition, and supply processes.
• Engage external customers and mission partners to understand requirements, data, and user needs.
• Analyze complex data-flow problems and turn vague customer requirements into manageable tasks and defined scope.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with an agency-appropriate polygraph is required.
• United States citizenship is required due to federal contract requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in a qualified engineering field or related discipline plus 15 years of systems engineering experience; alternatively, a high school diploma or GED plus 19 years, or a master’s degree or PhD plus 13 years.
• Experience with data processing capabilities, system-to-system connections, SIGINT collection and analysis, and Military SIGINT architectures.
• Experience with Military Cryptologic Offices, tactical collection capabilities, and related data flows.
• Working knowledge of Jira and Confluence; basic understanding of NiFi, including flow file attributes, or the ability to learn it quickly.

Nice to have

• Experience with electronic warfare operations, sensors, tactical datalinks, and command-and-control signals.
• Familiarity with CSV, JSON, PCAP, and XML data formats.
• Understanding of data architectures, the Intelligence Community, DoD Service Intelligence Centers, and DoD command structures.
