System Engineer 5 (ISSE) (CI) (Cybersecurity)

Pay range: $50.96–$39.68 per hour, before benefits.

What you will do

• Conduct technical security assessments of IT architectures and computing environments against applicable security frameworks, including ICD 503.
• Design, develop, implement, and integrate information assurance and security systems across networking, computing, and multi-enclave environments.
• Support security architecture, system security requirements, threat and risk assessment, vulnerability mitigation, and continuous monitoring.
• Contribute to authorization and accreditation activities, including NISCAP, DoD RMF, and NIST RMF processes.
• Develop security policies, standards, guidance, architecture deliverables, and A&A documentation.
• Support security testing, certification, accreditation, and operational system engineering activities.

Requirements

• United States citizenship and a position-appropriate security clearance are required; TS/SCI with an agency-appropriate polygraph is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline with 15 years of systems engineering experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience specified in the posting.
• Strong understanding of Linux-based operating systems, cloud services such as AWS and Azure, and related security services.
• Strong understanding of information security principles, risk assessment techniques, and government-sector cybersecurity policies and procedures.
• Experience with Nessus or other scanning applications and customer RMF processes and tools such as Xacta and LatteArt.
• CISSP certification, strong writing skills, and effective communication skills.
