Associate Designer, Footwear

Location: New York, NY, United States

Compensation: 70,000–80,000 USD per year, based on relevant experience and work location.

What you will do

• Collaborate with the Design team to develop elevated footwear products from concept through production.
• Build and maintain seasonal design boards, sketches, CADs and design decks.
• Create hand sketches, technical drawings, mock-ups and detailed tech packs for prototype development.
• Track style information, specifications, design updates and product data in PLM.
• Prepare samples and prototypes, participate in fit sessions and support product reviews.
• Conduct trend research and maintain the vintage and inspiration archive.

Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of design experience, ideally in a luxury or premium fashion environment.
• High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
• Strong hand-sketching, Illustrator, technical drawing and tech-pack skills.
• Ability to create accurate specifications and communicate construction details to factories for prototype development.
• Strong communication, organization, adaptability and creative problem-solving skills, with a digital portfolio showcasing relevant work.
