System Engineer 3

Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland, United States; on-site. United States citizenship and an appropriate security clearance are required.

Hourly compensation: $55.72–$137.86 per hour, before benefits.

What you will do

• Apply systems engineering principles across the concept, development, production, utilization, support, and retirement phases.
• Perform systems engineering activities and deliver work products across ISO/IEC 15288 technical, project, enterprise, and agreement process areas.
• Maintain system integrity, performance, security, and compliance in critical client/server environments.
• Analyze technical design alternatives and provide recommendations for project components.
• Interact with government stakeholders, program personnel, senior executives, and end users to resolve technical issues and conflicts.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with agency-appropriate polygraph is required.
• United States citizenship is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a qualified engineering field or related discipline plus 6 years of systems engineering experience; or equivalent qualifications with a high school diploma and 10 years, a master’s degree and 4 years, or a PhD and 2 years of experience.
• Strong systems engineering, systems administration, and security compliance experience.
• Knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, or Arista networking devices; Windows and Linux administration; security protocols; and patching.
• Experience or familiarity with Active Directory, LDAP, Centrify, Group Policy, network services, and Kubernetes/containerization.
