Manager, Cost Engineering/DTV (Precision Plastics)

Location: Onsite/hybrid; positions available in Titusville, New Jersey, USA, Italy, Ireland, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.

Salary: $102,000–$177,100 per year, plus performance-based incentives and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead a team of cost-engineering professionals, including onboarding, training, workload planning, and alignment with standard methods.
• Build and prioritize the cost-modeling pipeline with Supply Chain Procurement leadership and category teams.
• Develop should-cost models using material and process specifications for precision plastics, drug-delivery systems, single-use technologies, and packaging.
• Analyze cost gaps, supplier transparency, price-increase requests, contract terms, bids, and market movements to support sourcing and negotiation decisions.
• Develop cost structures for budgeting, forecasting, continuous improvement, and supply-disruption analysis.
• Deliver training and embed cost-engineering, supplier-analysis, and negotiation best practices across procurement and business partner teams.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of relevant experience in engineering, manufacturing, procurement, cost engineering, or a related technical field, including leadership of technical teams or complex cross-functional programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, biological sciences, or a related technical discipline.
• Extensive experience with precision plastics and/or packaging manufacturing, preferably in pharmaceutical or medical-device environments.
• Understanding of manufacturing process flows, cycle times, yields, clean-room operations, utility systems, and manufacturing equipment or process lines.
• Experience leading engineers or technical staff, managing priorities, influencing stakeholders, and facilitating cross-functional decisions.
• Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, supplier-management, and engineering-specification skills; advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, or project-management certification.
• Financial, accounting, project, and program-management experience.
• Experience with collaborative engineering, analytics, or cost-modeling platforms.
• Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization and adapt to changing requirements.
• Willingness to travel occasionally, less than 10%.
