Healthcare Consulting Senior Manager (Value-Based Care)

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; candidates must be within commuting distance of the office. The role follows a principally in-person Workplace for Your Day model with flexibility determined with the supervisor and team. Frequent regional travel is required, including approximately 50–75% overnight travel.

Salary: $150,000–$185,000 base salary, plus bonus opportunity. The range applies across offices in Colorado, Illinois, Ohio, and Massachusetts.

What you will do

• Lead complex healthcare transformation engagements involving value-based care strategy, network optimization, ambulatory operations, physician compensation, and clinical integration.
• Advise CEOs, CFOs, CMOs, physician executives, managed care leaders, and operations teams on risk management, network integrity, performance, and market position.
• Improve patient access and financial performance through ambulatory optimization, template redesign, care model transformation, and site-neutral care strategies.
• Translate healthcare analytics into actionable clinical, operational, and financial improvement strategies.
• Guide physician alignment, compensation, and provider engagement initiatives while managing and mentoring consultants and managers.
• Develop proposals, identify business opportunities, and partner across revenue cycle, reimbursement, analytics, and operational improvement practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant healthcare industry or operations experience, with clinical leadership experience strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of professional consulting experience with a history of selling consulting work.
• 5+ years of experience with an electronic health record system such as Cerner, Epic, Meditech, or Allscripts is preferred.
• Clinical licensure such as RN, RPh, or PharmD is a plus.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
