Electronics Design Engineer (Wireless Control)

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; on-site collaboration required

What you will do

• Create mixed-signal schematics covering MCUs, power, sensors, communications, and HMI, and guide PCB layout for signal integrity, thermal performance, and EMC.
• Lead prototype bring-up and verification, define test methods and fixtures, and collaborate with software teams on board enablement and diagnostics.
• Integrate receivers, transmitters, actuators, and safety-relevant I/O, including harnessing and enclosure considerations.
• Prepare BOMs, specifications, and test reports, and support EMC/EMI, environmental, and regulatory testing.
• Contribute to design reviews, DFMEA, change control, gated product development, and release to manufacturing.
• Apply functional safety principles to electronics design, verification, and documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of board-level design and validation experience for embedded products using analog, digital, and power electronics.
• Proficiency with ECAD tools such as Altium or OrCAD, laboratory instrumentation, and practical debugging.
• Experience with industrial communications such as CAN/J1939, isolation strategies, and robust power design is preferred.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Awareness of functional safety and compliance pathways including FCC, RED, UL, NEC, ATEX, or IECEx.
• Experience collaborating with firmware teams on bootloaders, drivers, and board diagnostics.
• Familiarity with secure design and lifecycle controls.
