Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in New Ulm, Minnesota, United States. Rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and weekend and holiday on-call rotations may be required. Travel may include up to 5% domestic. Relocation assistance is not authorized.

Starting pay: $37.48 per hour, with potential to reach $43.52 per hour. Shift differentials are $1.50 per hour for afternoon shifts and $2.00 per hour for midnight shifts.

What you will do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and determine root causes of equipment failures.
• Eliminate equipment problems and improve maintenance reliability, uptime, and product quality.
• Analyze maintenance and equipment performance data to identify and implement improvements.
• Apply operating principles and design limitations of electrical power distribution components.
• Read and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, machine prints, sketches, manuals, and vendor diagrams using U.S. customary and metric measurements.
• Follow safety policies, identify hazards, and contribute to a strong environmental health and safety culture.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Either a completed or nearly completed two-year technical degree in maintenance or electromechanics, verified before starting, or a high school diploma/GED and at least five years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and on-call rotations for weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and wear required personal protective equipment.
• Ability to understand and apply written and verbal instructions, safety rules, standard operating procedures, and supervisor coaching.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship. Export-control requirements may require assessment of U.S. person status and citizenship.

Nice to have

• Two-year degree in mechatronics, systems controls, fluid power, or an equivalent field combined with five years of maintenance experience.
• Strong multi-craft aptitude in a manufacturing environment.
