QA Engineering Intern (Networking)

What you will do

• Test and support development of the Service Aware Operating System for virtualized customer networks.
• Perform manual and automated quality assurance for IP switching platforms and new software features.
• Write and maintain tests using Python or similar dynamic languages.
• Investigate software issues, describe observable symptoms, and propose diagnostic approaches.
• Work with routing, switching, network virtualization, and related networking technologies.
• Set up and triage networking hardware while collaborating with network engineers.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an MCA, M.Tech, B.Tech, or similar degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics and Communication, or a related field.
• Experience writing tests in Python or a similar dynamic language.
• Knowledge of Linux, preferably Debian, and understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Knowledge of network routers, switches, routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP, and services such as DHCP and DNS.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, technical documentation, organization, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in small teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with containers, Kubernetes, cloud networks, or network virtualization.
• Experience with Jenkins, Robot Framework, or the Atlassian toolset, including Bitbucket, Confluence, and Jira.
• Knowledge of networking technologies such as SDN, NFV, Segment Routing, EVPN, LDP, MPLS, PON, and synchronization solutions.
• Open-source project contributions or experience with networking hardware setup and triage.
