Shipping Specialist (Biotechnology)

Location: Fully onsite at Solaris @Kallang, Singapore

What you will do

• Monitor customs laws and regulations, advise internal teams on operational impacts, and implement corrective actions.
• Classify tariffs, prepare customs documentation, submit import/export permits through TradeNet/Crimsonlogic, and coordinate customs clearance.
• Manage Strategic Goods permit applications for dual-use products.
• Coordinate shipment packaging, labelling, warehouse handling, tracking, delivery issue resolution, and documentation records.
• Collaborate with logistics, finance, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers.
• Review, upload, track, and analyze freight and packaging costs and manage vendor billing.

Requirements

• Degree in Supply Chain or another business-related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, customs affairs, or related fields; fresh graduates are considered.
• Experience with import/export shipments, packaging, customs clearance, brokers, freight forwarders, or third-party logistics providers.
• Familiarity with TradeNet/Crimsonlogic permit applications and strong data analysis, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Fluent English and Mandarin required for collaboration with cross-border teams, particularly stakeholders in China.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with strong data handling, reporting, and presentation skills.
