AI Threat Analyst - Insider Risk (AI)

Location: Herndon, Virginia, United States. Onsite role with occasional travel as required. U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance are required.

What you will do

• Support the Insider Risk Program and collaborate with security stakeholders across the organization.
• Develop and deploy data science, insider-threat, and AI security solutions for offensive and defensive operations.
• Shape data strategy, define project goals, and ensure data quality, security, and governance.
• Analyze large and unstructured datasets to identify insider-threat indicators, anomalies, and emerging AI risks.
• Build statistical models, machine learning algorithms, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings and recommendations.
• Improve program tools and methodologies while mentoring junior and mid-level threat analysts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related intelligence field, or equivalent relevant experience. A higher degree may substitute for experience; without a degree, 9 years of related experience is required.
• 5+ years of experience in data science or a related role.
• Experience with cybersecurity tools, including SIEM or UEBA platforms, and analysis of large datasets to detect insider threats.
• Proficiency in Python or R, SQL, data science toolkits, applied statistics, machine learning, and LLMs or generative AI.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI, plus strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Current Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Nice to have

• Insider threat, cybersecurity, or AI certifications and relevant industry memberships.
• Experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
• Experience with AWS RDS, PostgreSQL, Redshift, and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase, or DynamoDB.
• Ability to translate emerging AI-enabled risks into practical detections, policies, and risk mitigations.
