Senior Security Engineer (AI/ML)

Location: Office-based in Bellevue, Washington, United States. U.S. citizenship required.

Salary: $157,596–$196,995 USD annually, plus equity and subsidized benefits.

What you will do

• Own security architecture across Azure, hybrid infrastructure, and edge deployments.
• Lead detection engineering, incident response, security assessments, vulnerability management, and penetration testing.
• Secure web applications, APIs, Kubernetes, containers, software supply chains, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Define security controls for AI/ML development and deployment, including model and data supply chains, inference endpoints, prompt injection, and agentic tool abuse.
• Establish policy-as-code guardrails and advise engineering teams on secure designs, code, and deployment practices.
• Own security governance, audit evidence, customer security assessments, and risk-based roadmap priorities.

Requirements

• 8+ years in information security, including 5+ years focused on cloud security, or equivalent practical experience.
• Deep hands-on experience with Azure security services, including Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, Entra ID, Key Vault, Azure Policy, and network security.
• Production experience securing Kubernetes and containerized workloads at scale.
• Advanced web and API penetration testing, secure code review, vulnerability management, and CI/CD security testing experience.
• Experience with SAST, DAST, SCA, secrets scanning, IaC scanning, SIEM, EDR/XDR, WAF, and CSPM/CNAPP tools.
• Working knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2; experience leading complex incident response and mentoring security engineers.

Nice to have

• Experience securing edge, disconnected, intermittently connected, AI/ML, or LLM-based systems.
• Detection engineering with KQL, detection-as-code, and purple team exercises.
• Terraform or Bicep fluency and familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK or MITRE ATLAS.
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, OSCP, AZ-500, GCIH, or related credentials.
