What you will do

• Perform geotechnical engineering and geological analyses and calculations.
• Prepare technical engineering reports and other project documentation.
• Manage and perform field explorations, sample collection, geologic reconnaissance, and mapping.
• Assign and manage geotechnical laboratory testing and communicate test results.
• Coordinate field and construction observations related to geotechnical work.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience in geotechnical engineering.
• In the process of obtaining a Professional Engineer license.
• Experience or coursework in soil and rock mechanics, slope stability, foundations, tunneling, seismic design, earthquake engineering, or retaining structures.
• Knowledge of geotechnical explorations, instrumentation, field reconnaissance, construction coordination, or underground work.
• Experience with L-Pile, RSpile, Settle3D, Slide, or similar geotechnical modeling software.
