Senior Data Engineering Architect

Location: Dallas, Texas, USA; may require travel or relocation to unanticipated work locations within the USA

What you will do

• Provide enterprise architecture and design leadership for applications built on Microsoft Stack technologies.
• Lead and mentor Data Architects and Engineers delivering end-to-end enterprise data and BI solutions.
• Review infrastructure, repositories, frameworks, codebases, CI/CD pipelines, and proposed technical solutions.
• Design data pipelines, dimensional models, data products, dashboards, and reports using Power BI, Azure, Snowflake, DAX, Power Query, and dataflows.
• Lead project implementations, enterprise deployments, release scheduling, production best practices, and resolution of technical blockers.
• Collaborate with customers, business users, data science teams, and stakeholders on requirements, insights, delivery quality, and account opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, business administration, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in the offered role or a related software, data engineering, or analytics position.
• At least 5 years of experience with BI tools and Microsoft Power BI, including Power BI Report Builder, Service Administration, Cmdlets for PowerShell, and Power BI Premium.
• Experience with Azure, Snowflake, SQL, data warehousing, data modeling, DAX, MDX, Power Query, Power BI Dataflows, SSAS, SSRS, and SSIS.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Azure Synapse, Azure Analysis Services, Azure DevOps, and large datasets in Power BI.
• Experience with complex reporting, data visualization, SSRS/Qlik/Tableau-to-Power BI migrations, Agile methodology, and project management.
