Location: Hybrid role with three days per week in office. Through the end of 2026, the position can be based in Santa Monica, CA, Foster City, CA, or Parsippany, NJ. Beginning in January 2027, the primary office locations will be Thousand Oaks, CA and El Segundo, CA.
Salary: $205,615–$266,090 annually for other US locations; $226,185–$292,710 annually for the Bay Area. The position may also be eligible for an annual bonus and stock-based long-term incentives.

What you will do
- Lead Kite’s US portfolio-level payer and value marketing strategy across CAR T and future cell therapies.
- Develop payer-facing value stories, value propositions, budget impact models, cost calculators, economic resources, presentations, and education materials.
- Translate clinical, economic, humanistic, and real-world evidence into payer and access resources with HEOR and Medical Affairs.
- Advise US Market Access leadership on payer trends, evidence needs, reimbursement barriers, competitive dynamics, and access opportunities.
- Coordinate payer engagement strategies across commercial plans, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, employer-sponsored coverage, and other access stakeholders.
- Lead direct reports, agency and vendor partners, budgets, performance measurement, and continuous optimization of payer marketing resources.
Requirements
- Advanced scientific degree with 8+ years of experience, a master’s degree with 10+ years, or a bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of experience.
- 10+ years of relevant pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience in payer marketing, value marketing, market access, HEOR, payer strategy, pricing, contracting, reimbursement, or related commercial roles.
- Experience developing payer-facing value stories, economic resources, budget impact models, payer tools, and access stakeholder resources.
- Strong understanding of the US payer landscape, including commercial plans, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, specialty pharmacy, medical benefit management, and buy-and-bill dynamics.
- Experience leading teams and collaborating with HEOR, Medical, Legal, Regulatory, Compliance, Brand, Pricing, Contracting, and Market Access stakeholders.
- Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills with excellent verbal and written communication.
Nice to have
- Deep understanding of CAR T, hematology/oncology, or specialty therapy reimbursement.
- Experience developing value platforms and partnering with HEOR on evidence generation and translation.
- Experience supporting product launches, new indications, guideline updates, and lifecycle milestones.
