DevSecOps Project Engineer I (DevSecOps)

Location: Plano, Texas, United States; primarily office or hybrid work. Occasional travel to customer or field locations may be required.

Compensation includes annual incentive pay based on performance; no fixed salary range is stated.

What you will do

• Own and maintain the program DevSecOps backlog in Jira, including user stories, acceptance criteria, prioritization, grooming, and traceability.
• Serve as Scrum Master for DevSecOps delivery teams and facilitate standups, planning, reviews, retrospectives, and PI planning.
• Operate and support CI/CD tools including Jenkins, GitLab CI, and Artifactory, while monitoring pipeline execution, artifacts, build health, and DORA-aligned metrics.
• Support toolchain administration, user access, pipeline configuration updates, upgrades, issue triage, and escalation of architectural problems.
• Manage COTS and software licensing procurement, vendor coordination, purchase requests, deliveries, renewals, and compliance records.
• Coordinate with customers, stakeholders, technical teams, finance, contracts, and program leadership on delivery status, integration items, risks, and action tracking.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent documented experience.
• 8+ years of engineering experience, knowledge of engineering principles, and experience in multidisciplinary design and development teams.
• Basic understanding of requirements management, system design, and integration.
• Hands-on Product Owner or Scrum Master experience in an Agile environment, including backlog ownership, sprint facilitation, and PI planning; working experience with Jira is required.
• Experience with program procurement or COTS/software licensing management and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Current and active Top Secret U.S. security clearance with SCI eligibility and U.S. citizenship are required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Jenkins, GitLab CI, Artifactory, VBA, scripting, basic coding, and technical diagramming tools.
• SAFe Agilist, SAFe Scrum Master, Professional Scrum Master, or INCOSE certification.
• Experience with project management, estimates, proposals, cost and schedule management, baseline definition, trade studies, technical drawings, and schematics.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary development teams or working in the aerospace and defense industry.
