What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain AI tools and automations that solve business problems.
• Work directly with business users to understand workflows, pain points, and requirements.
• Turn business requirements into prototypes and iterate using user feedback.
• Debug software issues, maintain code documentation, and participate in code reviews.
• Integrate AI tools with existing business systems and workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to improve software quality, usability, performance, and adoption.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 0–2+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in Python and TypeScript or a similar scripting/application language for AI and automation development.
• Basic proficiency in C++, Java, or Python and a conceptual understanding of engineering principles.
• Ability to work directly with non-engineering business stakeholders and in multidisciplinary teams.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain required U.S. government authorizations under international trade regulations.

Nice to have

• Software development internship or cooperative education experience.
• Exposure to the aerospace and defense industry and interest in learning related business processes.
• Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL, scripting for API integration, data structures, and Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, or Spiral methodologies.
• Experience gathering requirements from end users and using tools for requirements tracking, code reviews, static analysis, repositories, and automated builds.
