Senior Commissioning Agent (Building Engineering)

Location: San Antonio, Abilene, Dallas, Round Rock, Fort Worth, or Austin, Texas, United States; travel to site-based locations is required as reasonably needed.

What you will do

• Serve as the main contact between the client and hirify.global and direct commissioning activities.
• Execute commissioning services within budgeted project hours.
• Coordinate commissioning schedules with clients and contractors.
• Manage commissioning plans, pre-functional checklists, functional performance tests, training plans, O&M reviews, record documents, shop drawings, and opposite-season testing.
• Support project delivery through coordination of design, construction, systems engineering, and operational requirements.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of industry experience across mechanical, electrical, and controls disciplines.
• Mechanical or electrical engineering degree, or comparable experience as a licensed PE or field technician.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems, HVAC controls, testing and balancing processes, construction practices, and systems engineering.
• Experience with design documents, multidisciplinary design delivery, construction services, contracting, project accounting, and financial management tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project, along with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to site-based locations is required.

Nice to have

• Commissioning certification.
• LEED accreditation.
• Commissioning experience in mission-critical, healthcare, life sciences, higher education, or government projects.
