Senior Product Manager - Medicare Claims Systems SME

Location: Remote within the United States; must reside in and perform work in the United States.

What you will do

• Translate CMS business, regulatory, and policy requirements into product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and Agile documentation.
• Maintain the product backlog and roadmap with the Product Owner, CMS stakeholders, the COR, and end users.
• Coordinate backlog refinement, sprint planning, PI Planning, prioritization, capacity planning, and release readiness.
• Analyze Change Requests, system and downstream impacts, risks, dependencies, and competing priorities.
• Become an expert in CMS regulations, policies, Medicare claims processing, and the CWF system.
• Support implementation and acceptance of user stories and oversee related quality assurance activities.

Requirements

• Must reside in and perform work in the United States.
• Must have lived in the United States for three of the last five years and be able to obtain a U.S. Federal Position of Trust clearance.
• Bachelor's degree.
• 10+ years of combined experience across healthcare IT, Medicare or Medicaid programs, or CMS regulatory compliance.
• 5+ years as a product owner, product manager, or business analyst in Agile software delivery, including Jira, Confluence, requirements capture, and business process modeling.
• 3+ years of direct experience with Medicare or Medicaid claims processing or CMS shared systems.

Nice to have

• Agile product owner or product manager certification, such as SAFe POPM, CSPO, or PSPO.
• Experience with SAFe, including PI Planning, CMS guidance, HPMS memoranda, and change control processes.
• Familiarity with CMS shared systems, Medicare claims processing environments, and mainframe-based systems.
