Director A&R - AWAL

Location: United States; New York or Los Angeles. Travel and in-person attendance at concerts, artist appearances, photo and video shoots, recording sessions, performances, and rehearsals are required as needed.

Annual base salary: $90,000–$120,000 USD for the New York pay range.

What you will do

• Find and acquire recording artists, songs, and producers through demos, recordings, and live performances.
• Build relationships with artists and representatives and negotiate deals.
• Source producers and coordinate meetings with artists and producers.
• Lead recording, mixing, and mastering sessions.
• Select singles and key tracks and coordinate with artists, managers, and the art department on marketing concepts.

Requirements

• 6–8 years of experience in A&R and artist development.
• Strong communication, artist relations, and talent relations skills.
• Ability to multitask, manage multiple projects, and defuse intense situations.
• Ability to collaborate successfully across multiple departments.
• Ability to understand, manage, and forecast budgets.
• Willingness and ability to attend concerts, artist performances, recording sessions, rehearsals, appearances, and photo and video shoots.
