Business Manager II - Capability Delivery (Aerospace & Defense)

What you will do

• Develop, manage, and maintain indirect project budgets for the Capability Delivery department.
• Monitor spend projections, analyze financial activity, and drive cost corrections and process improvements.
• Coordinate charge codes, staffing projections, spend commitments, and financial alignment with Finance and Accounting.
• Track project execution health against financial and schedule targets and prepare reports for leadership.
• Identify department-level risks, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor their progress with project and technical teams.
• Track contractor rates, headcount, statements of work, subcontract terms, and capital expenditure candidates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 9 years of experience in finance, accounting, business operations, or a related field, including 2 or more years in a leadership role.
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports and projections.
• Experience or knowledge in budget management, cost control, risk mitigation, and financial operations.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required for security-clearance eligibility.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace and defense, especially technology, software, IT systems, or digital capability delivery programs.
• Knowledge of indirect cost management, financial conversion strategies, and DoD or government contracting procedures.
• Experience with cost savings, cost avoidance, and program-level risk tracking.
• Ability to balance AI technology with individual critical thinking.
