Fieldperson - General Construction - Not Gas

Location: Onsite in Stockton, California, United States

Salary: $52.42 per hour; wage rates are subject to collective bargaining and may increase.

What you will do

• Operate earth-boring equipment, trenchers, compressors, jackhammers, drills, concrete saws, and other construction tools.
• Perform manual excavation of trenches using shovels, picks, and digging bars.
• Drive dump trucks and other vehicles, including when supporting project and generation needs.
• Operate forklifts, pallet trucks, loaders, hoists, and related material-handling equipment.
• Load and unload heavy equipment and supplies in support of transmission and distribution crews.
• Complete field paperwork, timecards, job cost reports, material orders, receipts, and deliveries.

Requirements

• Must work onsite in Stockton, California.
• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent related work experience.
• Valid Class A California Driver's Permit and DMV Medical Card required by the first day of employment.
• Ability to work in extreme weather, extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to safely drive in varied weather and road conditions and lift up to 90 pounds at least once per day.
• Ability to wear company-provided personal protective equipment and pass required pre-employment physical and driving assessments.

Nice to have

• General construction experience.
• Experience with SAP project component demand and reporting, Microsoft 365, and advanced Excel.
• Knowledge of electric standards and specifications, project and maintenance tag support, and quality assurance.
• Previous hirify.global or Hiring Hall experience.
