Entry Level Physical Properties Technician

Location: Maplewood, Minnesota, United States; onsite laboratory work

Salary: $21.00–$24.00 per hour

What you will do

• Prepare laboratory test samples for adhesive, polymer, and related products.
• Test mechanical, physical, and chemical properties using precision measurement tools and electronic equipment.
• Document and report laboratory testing results in written and verbal formats.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and general laboratory duties.
• Ship, store, organize, and maintain samples.

Requirements

• At least one year of chemistry or physical-properties laboratory experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.
• Experience using precision measurement tools and electronic laboratory equipment.
• Experience creating and maintaining Excel spreadsheets.
• Strong communication, organization, observation, and task-management skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience using common hand tools.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
