Maintenance Technician (HVAC)

Location: Redpoint Baton Rouge, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, United States; work is performed at the assigned property

What you will do

• Respond to maintenance and repair service requests and complete them promptly and professionally.
• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, routine repairs, apartment turnovers, and physically demanding property-maintenance work.
• Monitor and test major building and life-safety systems, including fire pumps, alarms, sprinklers, smoke detectors, CO2 alarms, emergency lighting, and egress systems.
• Manage keys and security protocols, unlock apartments, and escort vendors and contractors.
• Coordinate vendor deliveries, work schedules, maintenance objectives, and daily assignments with the Facilities Manager or Supervisor.
• Support emergency and disaster-preparedness planning and participate in the on-call rotation, including after-hours and weekend emergencies.

Requirements

• High school/GED or trade-school diploma, plus 3–5 years of full-time general maintenance experience or an equivalent combination.
• HVAC certification and EPA 608 certification covering Core, Type I, II, and III.
• Certified Pool Operator certification, or willingness to obtain it within six months.
• Knowledge of key-management and security systems, safety procedures, and basic computer operations, including Entrata, CMMS, building automation, and digital control systems.
• Valid driver's license, clear communication skills, punctuality, dependability, and the ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to travel when required, stand for 8 hours or longer, lift up to 100 lbs., and maintain a flexible schedule for emergencies.
